Lakeport Dance Center Newsletter -

January, 2023

 Dear Dance Families,

Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season. We are still enjoying the memories from our Christmas Show, and we’d like to thank  everyone who contributed to making it such a great success!

Next up is our June Showcase. We will be starting choreography soon and in a few weeks, dancers will be measured for costumes. More details will be sent out as we get closer to the event.

Some of our dancers have been on a waiting list for certain classes - if you are waiting for an opening in a particular class,  please email me (antoinetteldc@gmail.com) . We are trying to fit kids into the classes they are waiting for!

We will be attending the Jump dance convention in Santa Clara on April 28 - 30. (jumptour.com) During the three days of instruction, students are able to take classes from some of the most innovative and professional teachers in the country. It really takes every dancer to a new level, and is so much fun. If you are interested, we will have flyers available at the studio.

Please check the lost and found box! Many dancers are warmly dressed when they come in to the studio, and when they leave they are warm from taking classes. Subsequently, we have a lot of sweatshirts and coats that have been left behind.

Here are the upcoming dates for the rest of our dance year…

Monday, January 9 - We WILL be open on Martin Luther King Day

Monday, Feb. 20 -  Closed for President’s Day

April 3 - April 7 - Closed for  Easter Break

Monday, May 29 - Closed for Memorial Day

June Showcase - Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24 - (Dress rehearsal - Thurs., June 22)

Thanks very much to all of you….we are so looking forward to working with these amazing dancers in the upcoming months, and we’re extremely grateful for your ongoing support and friendship!!

                                 Much love,

                                  Antoinette
